Debo Eilers and Kerstin Brätsch present KAYA, the second iteration of a performance first realized at 179 Canal in February 2010.

In the MoMA PS1 performance, Eilers’ sculpture Stages, initially constructed for the 179 performance, is dismantled to create spaces for the activities of each performer. Throughout the performance, Eilers’ follows Kaya’s instructions on how to alter his sculptures. Eilers paints on, saws into, and reconfigures works on view in the PS1 gallery. Brätsch serves fresh watermelon juice to viewers.
